SSL and Google ETA - Performance Marketing
When the need to roll out SSL certificates across sites/ landing pages needed to be automated, DevHub solved this. SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the web server and browsers remain private and integral.
As performance marketing companies comply with Google’s ETA requirements, SSL becomes important - SSL provides more user trust when visiting sites, filling out forms...etc. We also believe it will eventually be the next ranking factor Google pushes similar to mobile.
Performance marketing companies are streamlining workflow/ production within DevHub by 1) registering domains within DevHub 2) which are then auto provisioned with new SSL certificates, and 3) the corresponding Site and/or Landing Page are live and serving secure pages within minutes.
Daniel Rust DevHub CTO/ co-Founder explains, “With one company - in 20 minutes we saw 20 new domains registered, new SSL certificates were auto-generated, and the Sites were live and serving secure pages within minutes. There is no reason with technologies like DevHub around not to use SSL everywhere at scale"
